There are moments in life that divide everything into two parts: before and after.

For Jason Cooper, that moment came on October 3, 2019.

Before that day, Jason was a high school student-athlete from Laurel, Mississippi, with his sights set on football and a future built around athletics. He trained before school, practiced after school, and spent Friday nights under the stadium lights. Football wasn’t simply something Jason did. It was part of the future he had spent years preparing to pursue.

Then, in a matter of seconds, everything changed.

A devastating automobile accident resulted in a C3-C4 spinal cord injury, leaving Jason paralyzed from the neck down. The young athlete who had built his life around strength, movement, competition, and football suddenly found himself facing a reality he could never have imagined.

Doctors warned that he might never walk again.

Jason had every reason to believe his athletic journey was over.

Instead, a completely different journey was beginning.
